At the end of a winding path between woods and meadows, you’ll discover this little paradise by the water. The river ripples past the plot. Now only two millstones and a ruin remain, but the water still flows through the old watercourse of the former watermill.
Former Miller’s house
The miller's house with its five bedrooms and four bathrooms make it very suitable for B&B or family home purpose. The ground floor consists of a dinning kitchen with a large fireplace, beamed ceiling and old stone floor. The kitchen is heated by a wood-burning stove in the fireplace and radiators connected to the oil-fired central heating. There is also a (bed)room and a bathroom on the ground floor.
Upstairs are two ensuite bedrooms. On this floor is a spacious lounge with a wood-burning stove. A very atmospheric room with its old wooden floor, stone wall and beams. The house used to be split into downstairs and upstairs, which is why this floor has its own entrance. In the attic are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The wooden roof construction also enhances the ambience of these rooms.
Holiday in your own garden
Next to the house is the barn. This is divided into two parts. One part with a concrete floor and new roof, which houses the lawn mowers and the central heating system with its oil tank. The oldest part still has a lower part where the cows used to be and is now mainly used for storage.
In total, the property has more than 12 acres of forest and pasture land. The garden area in front of the house is flat with its 16 x 32 feet swimming pool. The pool has an electric roller cover and a heat pump (which the owners rarely use). From the terrace and the grass surrounding the pool you have a view over the private property. The vegetable garden with its wooden hideaway, trellises and fruit trees make this a very popular spot. This is holidaying at its best!
Behind the house is a terrace where you can also sit in the shade. The old stone pigsty and stone walls enhance the atmosphere here. This is also the best place to hear the babbling of the river.
Special place
Despite being located in "the middle of nowhere", the inhabited world is not far away. A charming town is a 10-minute drive away. Here you will find everything; from supermarkets to restaurants and from a pharmacy to a hospital. The weekly market and farmers' markets in summer are also recommended. In the immediate vicinity of the house, you can go hiking and cycling. In short, a very attractive little paradise in a very special place!
