This old barn is located in a small and peaceful hamlet of the Millevaches En Limousin Regional Park. You can get to the hamlet via a local road where there isn't any through trafic.
The barn's walls and roof frame are in a good state, but the roof itself needs changing, because it is only a simple corrugated roof. The building is east-west facing, with a footprint of 200 sqm (ca. 2200 sqft) and there is an adjoining open hangar of about 40 sqm (430 sqft). There is everything to build here, as it is not yet habitable, but what you get is a large open space, which is ideal to create a spacious living area.
Electricity needs connecting up as well as water but the connections are on the edge of the property. There is no septic tank either.
Most of the land is behind the building and is almost 3.700 sqm (close to an acre). It is a flat plot closed in by a simple fence and lined with trees and shrubs. An underground spring comes out on the property, next to the barn.
This is a project for the enthusiastic DIY person, who is not afraid of a full renovation!
The property lies close to a swimming lake and about ten minutes from a large village with all the main amenities, including a supermarket, infant and primary schools, a middle school, sports clubs, cinema, swimming lake, etc... Limoges is 50 km (31 miles) and its international airport an hour's drive away.
