This house, set in a quiet location, is ideal for a first-time buyer or as a holiday home.
The house
Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, it comprises a 1st room of ca. 13’9”x13’6” with a fireplace and a sink, opening onto a 13’6”x10’9” living room. The kitchen needs to be modernised (and fitted!). To the left of the kitchen there is a 13’6”x8’3” bedroom. It is 7’5” high because it is built over a cellar. To the right of the living room, an extension has been created with a separate toilet and a shower room. There is a 2nd entrance/exit towards the garden. A retractable staircase makes the attic accessible. The attic is not insulated and is approximately 5’5” high at the apex. It is possible to create a (small) additional room, but it will be suitable for storage.
The house is habitable but needs to be redecorated/updated. The garage has a floor area of approx. 16’4”x13’7” and is just a few feet from the house.
The garde
The garden faces south-east. Part of the front of the house has been tarmacked as it was once a public local road, but it was then bought by the current owner at a later stage. There is a couple of trees to be able to enjoy the shade. At the bottom of the garden, you can see the tin roof of an old house that does not belong to the owner. Before arriving at the house, there is a second house at the beginning of the path, but you are not overlooked by your neighbour. Part of the garden is raised at the back of the house as it is built against the hillside.
Access and amenities
The house is set back over a small, quiet hamlet in the rural village of Sussac, in the county of Haute-Vienne, in the Millevaches en Limousin regional park, halfway (about 15 minutes) between the three tourist towns of Eymoutiers, Châteauneuf-la-Forêt in the Haute-Vienne and Chamberet in the Corrèze. The centre of Limoges is a 50-minute drive away.
The surroundings are perfect for long walks or mountain bike rides. You can even take a hiking trail just a few steps from the front door!
