Until 1966 there was a large barn on the outskirts of Meilhards with a few adjacent houses and sheds. In that year the farmer sold the barn to the current owners and the neighbouring houses to the current neighbour. Part of the barn was sacrificed for the living space. On the ground floor a basement and on the first floor the living space.
The living floor
The living floor consists of a kitchen, a living room, two bedrooms, a toilet and a small bathroom with shower and washbasin. In the middle of the hallway there is a wood-burner to heat the rooms in winter. In the basement is also a outdated central heating installation on fuel.
The barn
The barn is the big plus. There is a lot of space. The barn is about 9 meters wide and 20 meters long. There are large French doors. These doors have probably had a heavy swing. There is a crack visible from top to bottom and the lintel is no longer level with the wall. The roof of the whole building is made of slates containing asbestos.
Garden and view
From the garden and from the living floor there is a beautiful view over the sloping Limousin landscape. The plot is with 830 m2 not large, but large enough to make something nice for this attractive price.
