At the end of a forest path hidden between the trees, this railway cottage is waiting for a new owner. The house stands next to a single track (Ussel-Limoges). At the end of the gravel path lies the river Vienne. The outside looks good and the blue wooden shutters complete the picture.

The cottage
Upon entering you are in the kitchen which covers 12m2, here are typical French tiles. Here is a beautiful multi-functional wood stove that can also be used for cooking. This room has lots of light through the 2 windows on both sides.  Next to the kitchen there is a room where a water pump supplies the house with water from its own source. Here is also a toilet and space for storage and a washer or dryer.

From the kitchen you enter a bright living room which also has a wood stove. The room is spacious because there is an extension. Here are patio doors that lead to the (overgrown) garden. 

In the corner of the kitchen is a staircase that leads to the bedroom floor. On this floor are 2 bedrooms with built-in cupboard that feel spacious. The bedroom on the track side has a beautiful wooden floor and this room has a french balcony. From here you can overlook the tracks. On this floor also the bathroom with toilet.

Because the track and the transition have recently been renewed, the passage has become a lot calmer. But every day (every hour) a train is passing by. The warning bell for the oncoming train is still ringing.

Two plots
The piece of garden adjacent to the house (257 m2) can certainly use some pruning. But as soon as you are finished you can enjoy a lovely garden in the woods.

On the other side of the track there is a second plot (933 m²) which also belongs to the whole. This plot is fenced but completely overgrown. After a week, it is a good place for a second terrace, swing or slide, badminton court, car park or flower/vegetable garden. Here you will also find the well.

Surroundings
The region is very green and hilly. It is known for its bright and the starry skies that amaze every evening. There are many lakes and rivers.  Also in terms of culture there is plenty of entertainment. St leonard de Noblat, Limoges and Oradour sur Glane are certainly worth a visit.

The house is 10 minutes drive from Eymoutiers. Here there is every Saturday market there are several restaurants. Also a large supermarket, bakeries and nice stores. And there is even a cinema. Furthermore, there is a row distance of the Lac de Vassivière and Mont Gargan. The house is located in the natural park Millevaches
