Village house with country views

House built in the mid-1970’s located in a small housing estate on the outskirts of a village with all amenities, on the edge of the county of Correze. It offers a good-size single-floor living space, as well as 5 bedrooms and is laid over a full basement, on a plot of ca. 1/5 acre with a garden shed and views of the surrounding countryside.

The House
The main entrance to the house is via a short flight of steps leading to a balcony that runs along the entire west facade. French doors open into a bright, fitted kitchen diner. Double glass doors provide access to the adjoining living room fitted with a built-in fireplace and triple French doors opening onto the west-facing balcony. Each of these two rooms has a door to a central landing/hallway which leads to a shower room on the north side with a separate toilet and walk-in shower, and three double bedrooms facing north, east, and south.

From the landing, there are two separate staircases, one of which leading to the upper floor and the other one to the full basement beneath the house, comprising a garage/workshop with an electric sliding door, a summer kitchen, also with an electric sliding door opening onto the garden, a cellar, and a boiler/utility room housing the central heating system, hot water tank, and washing machine.

On the first floor, a central landing leads to a shower room with a toilet and two double bedrooms facing east and west. On either side of each bedroom, four attics offer the potential to create additional rooms (studies, walk-in wardrobes) or to extend the existing bedrooms to create en-suite shower rooms or walk-in wardrobes.

The Garden
The fully fenced-in property is accessed via a double gate, allowing parking for your car(s) in the private parking area or in the garage beneath the house. In the garden, a pruned apple tree forming a kind of wide “umbrella” and a large hazelnut tree provide welcome shade on hot summer days. From the ground-floor balcony, you can admire the countryside in front of you and the sunset with complete privacy. The plot, just under 1/5 acre, is easy to maintain. There are two neighbours, one in a holiday home, and the other is completely out of sight when you're at home.

Localisation and amenities
All amenities are within a few minutes' walk. Chamberet has everything you need to enjoy life (shops, bars, restaurants, etc.), a doctor, and infant and primary schools. The neighbouring village of Treignac has a large swimming lake and a middle school for 11- to 15-year-olds. Tulle and Brive-la-Gaillarde are 45 and 50 minutes away by car, respectively, as is the capital of the Limousin region.
