In the rural and wooded hills of Saint Moreil, this farmhouse sits amid its more than 5.6 hectares/14,03 acres. The land is crossed by a small road that runs alongside the house. The house has views of the surrounding lower lands and hills. Are you looking for a special place with lots of land? Then this farmhouse is for you!
Living on one level
This used to be a house with an adjacent barn. In the lower part of the barn, an atmospheric living space has now been created. You enter as usual in the kitchen. This spacious kitchen has enough room for the dining table in front of the built-in fireplace. From the kitchen, you reach the utility room which houses the washing machine, freezer and electric boiler. The two bathrooms and the toilet are also accessible from the kitchen. Both bathrooms have a shower and washbasin. Through a brick arch you reach the cosy living room of about 47 m²/505,90 ft² with its stone walls, beamed ceiling and French doors to the terrace. In the living room, a designer wood-burning stove provides warmth on the cold days of the year. As an extension of the living room is the equally attractive bedroom (circa 20 m²/215,28 ft²) with its stone walls, French doors to the terrace and its dressing room of circa 8 m²/86,11 ft².
Again from the kitchen, the 1st floor can be reached. Here are two bedrooms of about 14 m²/150,69 ft² and 12 m²/129,17 ft² in size. The attic can be reached with a fixed staircase, due to the insulation on the floor not yet usable, but this can easily be adapted. The roof is in good condition, but part of the roof has asbestos-containing slates.
Outdoor living
In front of the house is a stone large south-facing terrace with a large store. From the terrace, you have great views over the surrounding countryside and can enjoy the peace and nature. The barn of about 84 m²/904,17 ft² above the living room and bedroom has a concrete floor and, due to its height, is ideal for multiple purposes. The barn's roof is also fitted with asbestos slates.
Next to the house is a stone barn that has recently been fitted with a new tile roof and jointed walls, but not yet with windows or doors. Next to this is a canopy that is now in use as wood storage.
5,6 hectares/14,03 acres of land
There is paved parking next to the buildings. The grounds around the house cover more than 3.1 hectares/7,66 acres and are in a sloping position. The meadows are bordered by rows of trees. The second part covers about 2.5 hectares/6,18 acres and is located on the opposite side of the almost dead-end road. There’s a source on one of the parcels. So for the France lover and his animals a perfect place!
