Two small roads border the plot: one is a dead end leading to a small farmhouse further south, while the other continues north toward two other homes. These are neither visible nor audible, screened off by dense vegetation. The two nearest buildings are small, uninhabited barns that appear to see little use.

Time seems to have stood still for this barn, which once included a living area—evident from interior wattle-and-daub walls and an old fireplace—where humans and animals shared the same building. Its dilapidated state stems from the fact that it was once part of a larger property complex that underwent renovation, while this specific barn was left behind because its plot was geographically separated from the rest.

Planning permission has recently been granted in late June 2026, allowing the future owners to convert the structure into a home exactly as they wish or to demolish it and build a new house. There are no listed historic buildings in the area, so there are no restrictions regarding the type of renovation or reconstruction that can be undertaken.

The village centre is just under a 10-minute drive away and offers amenities such as a bakery, pharmacy, restaurant, bar, small supermarket, garage, and more. A larger village with full amenities is located about fifteen minutes to the north. Limoges is approximately 40 minutes away via the motorway, and the La Porcherie train station is less than 10 minutes away.
